Nine Maiden's Well

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Nine Maiden's Well as Chapel (medieval)(possible), Well (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Nine Maiden's Well is associated with the folklore of nine maidens or fairy women, a common motif in Scottish well traditions, often linked to fertility, protection, or supernatural blessings. It may have been a site of ritual purification or healing, typical of medieval holy wells connected to saintly or pre-Christian traditions.
