Nettuno

Wreck

What is recorded here

The National Monuments Record of Wales records Nettuno as Wreck from the Ôl-ganoloesol period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
Nettuno was an Italian steamship that sank in 1917 near the coast of Wales after striking a mine during World War I. The vessel was carrying a cargo of coal, and while no lives were lost, the wreck is significant as a wartime casualty and an example of the maritime dangers faced during the conflict.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
