My Lady's Well at Nemphlar is traditionally associated with a local saint or pious figure known as "My Lady," a common title for venerated female saints or holy women in Scottish folklore. Holy wells dedicated to such figures were often sites of pilgrimage and healing rituals, with water believed to have curative properties for ailments such as skin conditions or general ill health.
