Nags Head War Memorial

Memorial

What is recorded here

This hamlet, made up in 1914 of 18 houses, sent seventeen of its young men to defend our country. Seven of these gave their lives .... lest we forget.
Erected in memory of the seven men from Nags Head who died during World War I, the war memorial reflects the significant contribution of this small hamlet, where seventeen out of eighteen households lost sons or young men. The memorial stands as a poignant reminder of the community's sacrifice in the early 20th century.
