Myles McKeon was born in Drummin, County Mayo, Ireland, on 3 April 1919, and later became the Roman Catholic Bishop of Bunbury, Australia. He arrived in Fremantle from London on 21 February 1948 after being ordained for the Archdiocese of Perth. As Bishop of Bunbury from 1969 to 1982, he established the Busselton Catholic Youth Camp, merged local colleges into Bunbury Catholic College, and introduced several religious orders to the diocese.
