Murder Hole is a coastal rock feature or sea cliff composed of sandstone, part of the Lower Carboniferous sedimentary rock formations in southern Scotland. It formed around 340–320 million years ago through the deposition of river and delta sediments, and is notable for its erosion patterns and possible historical or local legend associations.
