MULTIPERIOD CHURCH & GRAVEYARD, possibly PRE-NORMAN CHURCH SITE in Tullanaglug

MULTIPERIOD CHURCH & GRAVEYARD, possibly PRE-NORMAN CHURCH SITE

What is recorded here

Tullanaglug holds a church and graveyard where early medieval, eighteenth and nineteenth century life overlapped. The site may preserve a pre-Norman foundation beneath later worship, suggesting that faith and memory continued through change rather than breaking. Stones, soil and buried practice may still mark the patience of people who kept returning to the same place.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as MULTIPERIOD CHURCH & GRAVEYARD, possibly PRE-NORMAN CHURCH SITE. Recorded period: C18TH; C19TH; E.C./MED. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
