What is recorded here

Magheracross church and graveyard held worship across uncertain, early Christian and medieval centuries, marking one of Fermanagh’s oldest continuous sacred spaces. People may have prayed there before written records existed, burying their dead beneath soil that still remembers footsteps. The multiperiod label admits what the earth already knows: layers of belief, loss and renewal waited patiently for anyone willing to listen.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as MULTIPERIOD CHURCH & GRAVEYARD. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN; E.CHRIST.; MEDIEVAL. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
