Mulla Craig is a sea cliff composed primarily of Silurian greywacke and volcanic rocks, formed around 440–420 million years ago during the Caledonian orogeny. The area is notable for its exposure of ancient metamorphic and igneous rocks that record the collision of tectonic plates during the formation of the Scottish Highlands.
