Tobar Mhoire, also known as Tobermory Well, is traditionally associated with Saint Mary and was likely a site of pilgrimage and prayer in the medieval period. Local tradition holds that the well had healing properties, particularly for eye ailments, and was visited by those seeking cures through immersion or the drinking of its waters.
