This blue commemorative plaque records: Prefabricated sections of concrete were assembled off Selsey for the top-secret Mulberry Harbour Project. They were towed to the Normandy beaches for D-day in 1944 Recorded plaque organisation: West Sussex County Council.
Mulberry "B" and Mulberry "A" were artificial harbors constructed for the Allied invasion of Normandy in 1944, crucial for supplying troops and equipment after D-Day.
