What is recorded here
Mound of Milden Castle is a scheduled monument in Babergh, England. The western bailey still stands while the eastern part has vanished beneath the plough. The mound wears rough grass, but farm machinery cuts close to its edge, threatening the last shape of a castle that time and agriculture keep erasing.
The National Heritage List for England records Mound of Milden Castle as a scheduled monument. The saved point comes from the centre supplied by the official record. Listing does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
