Situated on a local prominence on a fairly level landscape. This is a circular grass-covered mound (diam. of base 11m E-W; 10m N-S; H 2.2m) with some bushes. There is a small, grass-covered quarry to the SE, and the late medieval house (ME017-019001-) is c. 130m to the E. (O’Sullivan 1955, 19) The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of revision: 12 April 2019
A circular earthen mound, likely dating to the Bronze Age; its function may have been funerary or ceremonial. The presence of a quarry suggests local sourcing of materials, typical of such mounds in the period.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
