Why this matters
A Neolithic passage tomb; wider significance not recorded.
What is recorded here
In pasture, on a flat-topped hillock. The monument, which is depicted as a circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m) on the 1841 OS 6-inch map, is no longer evident in an area which had, until recently, been quarried for gravel. According to the OSNB this feature was 'a mound', and the present landowner remembers "a big mound" which had been quarried for many years.
