What is recorded here

Motte and bailey castle. Medieval Antrim. The mount still stands where human hands first stacked earth against the sky. A tower may have risen above it, casting shadow across the valley at dusk. Men looked down from that height, reading weather and danger in the same breath. The wood is gone now. The stone may be gone. The mound remains, holding the shape of a room nobody entered twice.
