Moor Abbey (in ruins)

Within an early ecclesiastical enclosure (GA083-060003-). Marked on 1st ed. of OS 6-inch map as a roofed rectangular building (c. 15m by c. 5m), aligned NW-SE. All that survives are overgrown fragments (Wth 0.36m, H c. 2m max.) of W (L 7.3m) and S (L 3.8m) walls. These probably represent the last traces of a large rectangular building (E-W c. 15m, N-S >7.3m). No architectural features are visible. The interior is occupied by a 19th-C burial vault of the Lambert family.
