The Pier Road Nuclear Waste Landfill is a gated-off wooded area where the MOD disposed of nuclear waste from 1968-1986. It's located near Pier Road, Dynamo Way, and Gillingham Pier Asda. Despite concerns, recent surveys show radiation levels are safe.
