Mill at Pen-y-Cnwc Farm, Castle Morris stood in Pembrokeshire during the 19th Century, turning local grain into flour for nearby kitchens. The stones may have ground wheat, barley or oats while farmhands fed hoppers and swept spillage from the floor. Such a small mill mattered because it reduced the distance between field, table and daily survival.
