The *Middlesex* was a British steamship that sank in 1879 off the coast of Pembrokeshire, Wales, after colliding with the French ship *Cézanne*. The wreck resulted in the loss of several lives and significant cargo; it is now recognized as an important maritime archaeological site in Welsh waters.
