Manstonnock Chapel, near Methven, is associated with Saint Fillan, a 7th-century Irish monk and healer, and is linked to local traditions of pilgrimage and water cures. The nearby holy well is believed to have curative properties, particularly for ailments of the eyes and skin, and was historically visited on Saint Fillan’s feast day on 24 October.
