What is recorded here

Windsor Castle in Menstrie, Midtown, Clackmannanshire, carries a 19th-century plaque, though the castle itself may have vanished or never matched the grandeur of its name. The plaque survives where memory faded, marking a point on the earth rather than a building in the mind. Perhaps someone proud once lived there, or someone foolish repeated a foreign name until it became true. Stone and story both need witnessing to exist.
