MEGALITHIC TOMB? (unlocated) in Old Barr

MEGALITHIC TOMB? (unlocated)

What is recorded here

Yes. Court tomb. Two chambers. Narrow passage. Stone roof still standing. People died there. Others watched the watchkeeper kill the boy. They threw the boy into the first chamber. They closed the door. They left the watchkeeper outside. The watchkeeper refused to leave. He sat before the closed door. He watched the field for years. He never entered the chamber. He never left the tomb. The boy stopped being a missing child. The boy became the reason the field could not be touched.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as MEGALITHIC TOMB? (unlocated). Recorded period: PREHISTORIC. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
