What is recorded here

In the hollow beneath Inispollan Mountain, grey stones still mark a chamber built before written history. The grade and shape have blurred with age, yet the chamber remains clear enough to imagine: hands dragging stone, breath misting in cold air, a door left open for the dead and the rain. Grange fields have long since moved across the top, but the chamber keeps its own darkness. What is missing has not stopped the place existing; it has only removed the chance to argue with it.
