Megalithic structure in Ower (clare By.)

In undulating farmland, 170m E of Kildaree Church (GA041-045----). Described by Wilde (1872, 125) as 'the remains of a cromleagh, termed, as such structures usually are, Leabha-Dearmid-agus-Grania, … it top stone is 9 1/2 feet [2.9m] long'. What survives are two massive stones incorporated into a shed. One stone stands upright (L 2.3m, H 2.2m) and is aligned NE-SW, while the second (L 2.3m, H 2.2m) rests against its NE end (Topgr.
