What is recorded here

Scrabo recorded its own shape before it appeared on any human chart. The Lands of Scraboc marked a medieval settlement in County Down during the thirteenth century, giving the region an identity older than modern boundaries. People lived there, breathed there and left the place changed long before witness or writing.

The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as MEDIEVAL SETTLEMENT SITE: LANDS OF SCRABOC. Recorded period: C13TH. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
