Adam’s camera rose in Heaton as a fortified house, its walls built to keep out danger and claim local pride. It belongs to the Medieval period and still carries that name because people remembered Adam long after the stones stopped being new. The house may have hosted feasts, frightened travellers or hidden families during storms. Its name is a gift from memory, passed down until the place became a monument.
