Matthew Brettingham, John Thomas Patience, and Robert Brettingham grey plaque

This grey commemorative plaque records: Holkham House. The design has been attributed to Matthew Brettingham 1699-1769. The house was owned by his brother Robert. In the early nineteenth century it was the home of another Norwich Architect, John Thomas Patience
