Mary Cottrell (1868-1969) was the first woman Birmingham City Councillor for the Labour & Co-operative Party in 1917 and a significant figure in the co-operative movement, serving on the boards of Ten Acres & Stirchley Co-operative Society and Co-operative Wholesale Society.
