This blue commemorative plaque records: Manchester Corinthians. Fog Lane Park was the home of Manchester Corinthian Ladies Football Club for over 20 years. They were founded in 1949 with a sister club, Manchester Nomads, being established in 1957. The two clubs raised significant amounts of money for charity. Pioneers of the contemporary women's game, they toured the globe with great pride in their community, promoting football and empowering females worldwide.
