No visible surface trace marks the man-made underground passage in the south-west quadrant of ringfort 8460. It hides beneath ordinary ground, waiting for someone to fall through or dig beside it. The ringfort stands above while the passage disappears from sight, keeping its shape and purpose out of reach.
