Closed in 1939 according to Hartnett, the passage still keeps its infilled entrance exposed in the north-west quadrant of the ringfort. It is no longer a working tunnel, but the buried shape and sealed opening preserve the fact that people cut through solid ground there. The ringfort stands above a hidden chamber or track, waiting for someone to remove the fill and discover what the builders concealed beneath the earth.

In NW quadrant of ringfort (CO060-093001-). Hartnett (1939, 68) noted that it is 'now closed'. Infilled entrance still visible.
