Under the western half of a Rathrowan rath, local tradition places a stone-built passage leading into a hidden chamber. The entrance has vanished without a surface mark, but the story preserves a narrow underground route where people once walked into darkness beneath an ancient fortress.

In a rath (MA071-117----). According to local tradition, there is a Man-made underground passage in the rath, which was accessed through an opening in the W half of the rath. A stone-built passage led to a chamber, and there may have been a second passage opening off the chamber. There is no visible trace at ground level.
