Under the southeast quadrant of the Maulvirane ringfort, a five-and-a-half-metre depression hints at a buried passage. People may have cut that chamber to hide during storms, keep warm through winter, or simply avoid the watchful eyes of neighbours. The earth above still holds the shape of human ambition, waiting for someone brave enough to dig and ask what the dark contained.

In SE quadrant ringfort (CO134-021---). Depression (L 5.5m; Wth 3.2m) with low earthen mound on N side may indicate position Man-made underground passage.
