Underground in the Knocks ringfort, a man-made passage disappears without surface trace. Tradition, not measurement, carries it forward. A person may have dug through solid earth to hide, escape or connect two living spaces. The absence of a visible entrance does not erase the effort, breath or fear spent inside the dark.
