Knockaunbrack holds a T-shaped underground passage inside a ringfort, with a long axis stretching twelve metres and a short branch cutting four metres toward the southwest. Neary called it a dug-out man-made passage in 1914, but the shape still resembles a hidden room more than a simple tunnel. Perhaps people lived beneath the fort, listening to footsteps above while the earth held them in darkness.

Centrally placed within a ringfort (GA005-080----). Described by Neary (1914, 120, no. 12) as 'a dug-out Man-made underground passage'. What is visible is a T-shaped hollow, long axis (L 12m) running NW-SE, short axis (L 4m) running off to SW halfway along its length.
