Underground in a rath near Kilgobnet, a man-made passage held a broken ogham stone until someone dug it out before 1869. That much is clear. What is not clear is who cut the passage, who placed the stone inside, or whether the dark tunnel was a hiding hole, a ritual chamber or a ordinary cellar forgotten by the village. The stone survived; the hands and intentions behind it did not.

Portion of an ogham stone (KE065-109001-) was discovered before 1869 in a Man-made underground passage (KE065-109----) in a rath close to Kilgobnet village (Brash 1879, 238).
