Man-made underground passage in Gortleck

A Man-made underground passage c. 12.5m long curving NW to SW from the present entrance. It is drystone-walled and abruptly blocked off at the SW end. It is flagstone-roofed and up to 1.3m in height. At the SE is a side chamber c. 2.25m long and c. 1m wide. It is up to 1.1m high. Along the E side is a 2nd chamber c. 3m long and c. 1.25m wide. This is up to 1.4m high. A smaller chamber c. 1.25m long and c. 0.75m wide opens off this to the SE. It is situated in relatively good land sloping SW to a stream.
