Under the western half of a Mayo rath, three dry-stone chambers still wait, joined by creepways narrow enough to force humility. The ground above gives no clue, hiding a place where human hands shaped darkness into a living space. Tradition, not measurement, preserves the shape, but the contradiction is striking: so little remains visible, yet the chambered form is remembered clearly.

In a rath (MA071-004----). According to local tradition, there is a Man-made underground passage in the W half of the rath interior.
