Lissacurrig, O'Corick's fort in County Kerry, concealed a man-made underground passage within its circular enclosure. Surveyed in the 1840s and again in the 1910s, the site presented a stable human landmark before development erased it. The passage may have served as a shelter, a boundary marker, or a private route through the landscape. Its disappearance removes a rare example of deliberate underground work in North Kerry, leaving only the memory of a hidden space that once answered the needs of the people who lived there.

Lissacurrig/Lios Uí Coruig (O'Corick's fort; KE009-072----). Situated SE of KE009-071----, this circular enclosure is marked on the 1841-42 and 1915-16 OS maps. On the earlier edition 'cave' (KE009-072001-) is marked in the interior, but it does not appear on the later edition. This site has now been levelled and no trace survives.
