Lissacurrig, or O'Corick's fort, hid a man-made underground passage inside its circular walls near Glanerdalliv. Surveyors marked the cave on early maps before men levelled the earth and erased the hole. The passage may have served as a shelter, a treasury or a trick of the land, but its function vanished with the soil. What remains is a absent shape, an invitation to imagine the dark purpose that once lived beneath the grass.

Lissacurrig/Lios Uí Coruig (O'Corick's fort). Situated SE of KE009-071----, this circular enclosure is marked on the 1841-42 and 1915-16 OS maps. On the earlier edition 'cave' (KE009-072001-) is marked in the interior, but it does not appear on the later edition. This site has now been levelled and no trace survives.
