Man-made underground passage in Dromore (duhallow By.)

Dromore in duhallow By. holds a buried passage inside a ringfort, waiting for someone strong enough to lift its cover. Bowman recorded two such openings in 1934, suggesting the fort still kept hidden rooms beneath its stones. A shallow depression marks one entrance, small enough to step across but deep enough to hide a chamber, a cache, or a way of escaping when rain turned the landscape to mud. The passage does not need discovery so much as permission, reminding that even ordinary ground can hold a door built by human hands.
