Yes. An L-shaped stone chamber hides in the centre of a Mayo ringfort, its narrow entrance forcing a person to crawl before opening into a taller dark room. Someone built that turn deliberately, perhaps to keep heat inside or to stop unwanted eyes watching the second chamber. The stones still fit together without mortar, waiting for a lantern and a steady hand.

In centre of ringfort (MA100-033----). L-shaped; two stone built chambers roofed with capstones. Entrance (H 0.5m; Wth 0.7m) opens into Chamber 1 (L 4.4m; Wth 0.9m; H 1.4m), orientated NW-SE. Constructed of several courses of dry-stone walling, roofed by six lintels resting on projecting corbelling. Chamber 2 (L 7.5m; Wth 3.1m; H 3m), orientated NE-SW, accessed through small doorway constructed of two jambs and a lintel. The above description has been derived from D.
