What is recorded here

Coollicknalea holds a T-shaped underground passage beside a Galway ringfort, its drystone walls reduced to shallow hollows and faint traces. The main chamber stretches twelve metres eight, while a second chamber reaches seventeen metres across three and a half. People may have hidden goods, avoided storms or tended secret business beneath the fort, but the earth has taken most of the shape. What remains is enough to show that the ground was cut, built and used before memory faded.

Within SW quadrant of a ringfort (GA004-022----). A poorly preserved drystone-built Man-made underground passage, T-shaped in plan. The 1st chamber (L 12.8m max.), running NW-SE, is mainly defined by a hollow, apart from NW end (L 2.8m) which survives intact. The 2nd chamber (L 17m, Wth 3.5m) extends from the junction of this chamber and hollow, and runs NE-SW. It is defined by a linear hollow and traces of drystone walling at NE end of S side.
