Cloghfune, County Cork, Ireland: A man-made underground passage may exist beneath a coastal promontory fort, hinted only by a shallow 1.6-metre depression in the southern bank. The sea kept the place company while people forgot the shape of what they buried or built below. That much is record; the rest is imagination.
