Man-made underground passage in Bray

This Man-made underground passage, not marked on the OS maps, is located at the landward end of Bray Head, Valencia Island, on the S side of the trackway which ascends the headland. A small aperture between two of its roofing slabs allows viewing of a drystone-built passage, aligned E-W, whose walls corbel slightly towards the top. At least six lintels roof the passage, which is approximately 3.5m long, .9m wide and .7m high. A low creepway occurs midway along the S side-wall. The above description is derived from A.
