Man-made underground passage in Brackcloon

On rocky hillock; discovered 1931. O Riordain (1934, 78-80) describes four rectangular, rock-cut chambers. Chamber 1 (unroofed) has openings on W, S and E sides, to chambers 2, 3 and 4 respectively. Entrance with four rock-cut steps, via unroofed annexe E side chamber 4. Rock-cut drain (D 0.24m; Wth 0.2m) runs SW-NE across chamber 4 and from there N through rock-cut trench (L 11.6m; max. D 1.68; Wth 0.6m). McCarthy (1977, 177) suggests chamber 1 was originally construction shaft. Three holes and along depression (L 7m; Wth 1.05m; D 1.6m) now indicate position.
