Man-made underground passage

Some 10m NW of a ringfort (GA016-006----), within an associated 'annexe'. According to Costello (1902b, 110), this Man-made underground passage consisted of 'two chambers connected by a narrow doorway without a passage'. Present remains consist of a blocked-up chamber, running E-W, indicated by a slight depression (L 2.6m) in the ground surface. Circa 7m to W, lies a 2nd chamber (L c. 4m), running N-S. Though inaccessible, a view through a displaced lintel indicates that it is of drystone construction and similar to the Man-made underground passage (GA016-006001-) within the interior of the ringfort.
