Mains of Crichie, 'st Drostane's Well'

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Mains of Crichie, 'st Drostane's Well' as Holy Well (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

St Drostane's Well is associated with St Drostane, a 7th-century Pictish saint known for her ascetic life and healing miracles. The well was traditionally visited for its curative properties, particularly for skin ailments and female infirmities, and was likely a site of pilgrimage and seasonal rituals.
