Mains Castle rises through Caird Park as a seven-storey tower built for the Claverhouse family, its cornerstones cut in the sixteenth century to mark ownership and warn intruders. Rooms beside the tower still hold the shape of domestic life, while the main shaft pitches upward like a finger pointing at weather. Couples now walk that old height into marriage, turning a house of rank and defence into a place where love is tested against time.
