Main Street, 9;Castle Pharmacy

Dwelling

What is recorded here

Nine Main Street in Pembrokeshire stands as a Post Medieval dwelling now known as Castle Pharmacy. It is not clear whether the pharmacy name came before or after the domestic rooms, but the building has worn both uses without apology. A pharmacy needs memory as much as measurement, and this is the kind of place where memory accumulates in brass, glass and repeated requests.
The National Monuments Record of Wales records Main Street, 9;Castle Pharmacy as Dwelling from the Post Medieval period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
